Policy Measures to Reduce Incidence of NCDs, and Their Health and Welfare Implications

The Lancet Commission on Investing in Health, DCP3, and the Harvard Global Health Institute co-hosted a two-day symposium on Policy Measures to Reduce the Incidence of NCDs.

The major focus was on using policy instruments, especially taxation and subsidies, to tackle NCD risk factors—tobacco, poor quality diet, air pollution, and physical inactivity.

The outcomes of the discussions will help to inform the report of the Lancet commission and DCP3.
