David P. Mackie, MD serves as Secretary of International Society of Burn Injury. Dr. Mackie is an Anesthesiologist/Intensivist at the Red Cross Hospital, Beverwijk, Netherlands. He served as President of the European Burns Association from 2003 to 2005 and has been actively involved with the International Society of Burn Injury. Dr. Mackie has been Executive Member of the European Burns Association since 1991. He serves as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Plurogen Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Mackie completed his medical training in Edinburgh, England in 1978, a residency in Anesthesiology in the Netherlands in 1979, and a specialty in Intensive Care in the Netherlands in 1993.
