Giving What We Can
Toby Ord is an Australian philosopher. He is the founder of Giving What We Can, an international society dedicated to the elimination of poverty in the developing world. He is also a James Martin Research Fellow with the Programme on the Impacts of Future Technology, and contributes towards the FHI's research aims. He is currently investigating the topic of moral uncertainty: the study of how to act when we are unsure of the relevant moral considerations. He is also exploring a number of questions regarding global catastrophic risks, future technologies, and global poverty, such as the extent of our personal responsibilities and how we should prioritize within aid spending.
