Chris Bonell is Professor for Sociology and Social Policy in the Department of Childhood, Families and Health at the Institute of Education (IOE).
Previously he has been Professor for Sociology and Social Interventions at the Centre for Evidence-based Interventions (till 2013). He was a Senior Lecture at the London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (till 2011) and currently is Honorary Professor there. He was also Assistant Director for the Social Science Research Unit at the IOE and Research Team Leader for Social Exclusion Unit of the UK Cabinet Office.
Chris Bonell holds a PhD in Sociology from the Institute of Education, an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an MSc Sociology of Health & Illness from South Bank University and a MA in Social & Political Sciences from King’s College Cambridge.
