Dr. Li Liu is an Assistant Scientist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's International Health Department. Blending background and interests in demography, biostatistics, medicine, and maternal and child health, Dr. Liu's research aims to improve reproductive, maternal and child health (RMCH) through applying demographic and population health strategies. One of her current research projects focuses on estimating burden of child mortality by cause at the global, regional, national, and subnational levels. A number of Dr. Liu's research publications have been widely cited. Some have also been covered by major media outlets, such as New York Times and BBC News.
