Donald Bundy

Donald A.P. Bundy has recently joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as Professor of Epidemiology and Development. Previously, Dr. Bundy led the Neglected Infectious Diseases team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation where he was Senior Advisor on Neglected Tropical Diseases and Senior Director.  Prior to the Gates Foundation, he was a Lead Specialist for Health, Nutrition and Population in the World Bank Africa Region and served as Coordinator of the African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control (APOC).  Dr. Bundy has previously served as Professor of Epidemiology at Oxford University. He has worked in the field of international child health and development for 30 year and was the founder of the Partnership for Child Development, a civil society organization that promotes health and education in more than 50 countries.

He is the lead editor of the volume on Child and Adolescent Health and Development. He has authored more than 350 publications, including three best-selling books, and has twice been awarded the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle for his work in documentary film making, which includes the award-winning television series Behind the Crisis.
