WHO independent Expert Review Group on Women's and Children's Health

The World Health Organization’s independent Expert Review Group (iERG) was established in 2012 as a result of the final report released by the UN Commission on Information and Accountability for Women’s and Children’s Health in 2010. This report presented 10 recommendations, one being the establishment of an expert review group to evaluate global reporting. The iERG’s task is to serve as the principal global review group for global reporting by assessing progress toward improved reporting and transparency. The iERG reports to the Un Secretary-General and will conclude its work in 2015.

In September 2012 the group released its first report: Every Woman Every Child. The full report is available here and more information about the iERG and the UN Commission on Information and Accountability for Women’s and Children’s Health can be found on the WHO website.
