The launch of DCP3's most recent publication, Optimizing Health Outcomes: High-Return Investments in School Health for Increased Participation and Learning, was celebrated at the annual conference hosted by The Comparative & International Education Society, held in Mexico City from March 25 – 29. This year’s conference focused on the topic of “Re-Mapping Global Education: South-North Dialogue.” This week-long conference covered a wide array of topics, all centered on the goal of shifting the traditional starting point of research to a greater extent towards the global South, enabling deeper North-South dialogue as well as South-South collaboration in the realm of international education. Several of the contributors to this publication attended the conference, and it was prominently featured at a panel discussion titled “Working Across Sectors: How Achieving Education and SDG Targets Can Be Boosted by Affordable Health Investments.” Panelists included:
- Donald Bundy, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Volume 8 editor)
- Imran Khan, Sightsavers
- Louise Banham, Global Partnership for Education
- Lesley Drake, Partnership for Child Development (Volume 8 author)
