Since 2007, the Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) has been organized as an annual international conference focusing on policy-related public health issues of global significance. The conference is hosted by the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation, the Royal Thai Government, and other prestigious global partners. The theme of PMAC 2016 is "Priority Setting for Universal Health Coverage".
DCP will host a side event in collaboration with Priorities 2020 entitled, "Building Financial Risk Protection into Essential Health Benefits Packages for Fair Universal Health Coverage". The workshop will present early analysis examining the Ethiopian essential health care package from the perspective of financial risk protection, bringing to bear the evidence on costs and cost-effectiveness from DCP3, and proposing criteria for making choices among interventions and policies for an enhanced essential health care package that will reduce impoverishment from households’ out-of-pocket expenditures.
The conference organizers are once again holding a world art contest. Submissions should aim to conceptualize the conference theme through 1)drawings and paintings, 2) photos, and 3) comic and cartoon art. See below for contest criteria and submission information, or visit the PMAC website. Submission deadline is October 31!
