The DCPN conducted an intensive 5 day workshop aimed to prepare experienced researchers in the Middle East Region to lead modeled health economic evaluations and introduce them to new global burden of disease data. The workshop was conducted in two parts: an advanced course on cost effectiveness analysis methods with application to noncommunicable disease (NCDs) topics, and an introduction to the purpose and methods of extended cost-effectiveness analysis (ECEA). The workshop laid the groundwork for the formation of collaborative research teams that will prepare ECEA analyses on priority NCD policies and interventions for selected EMRO countries.
The workshop was co-costed by DCPN and EMRO and was held at the EMRO office in Cairo, Egypt. Below are photos from the workshop.
