This Week in Global Health (TWiGH) is an online-based global platform led by a multi-disciplinary team of young professionals who facilitate global health engagement worldwide with the goal of creating a collaborative community for global health students and professionals.
DCP3 Cardiovascular, Respiratory, and Related Disorders volume editor, Dr. Shuchi Anand and chapter author Dr. Nisreen Salti - along with This Week in Global Health's Dr. Jessica Taaffe - participated in the latest episode of TWiGH to discuss cardiovascular and respiratory disorders (CVRD). The panelists covered the challenges faced by low- and middle-income countries in preventing and treating CVRD, needed changes in control of these disorders, and interventions such as fiscal and regulatory action to reduce risk.
Three other DCP3 volumes have been the topic of discussion on previous TWiGH episodes. The first video, released in June 2017, was on essential surgery The second, released in September 2017, covered global cancer, and the third, released in November 2017, discussed household air pollution.
