On Monday, February 22 in Sharjah, UAE, DCP3 and WHO - EMRO hosted a policy forum on road traffic injury and trauma care, which brought together policymakers and experts on road safety and trauma care to gain policy insights and perspectives to enhance the relevance and usability of the DCP3 volume on Injury Prevention and Environmental Health. This forum was the third in a series of policy forums on selected priority health topics.
Representatives from 15 countries joined DCP3 editors and authors to contribute their insights and learned experiences to the formulation of final conclusions for the DCP3 volume on Injury. Policy makers shared their views on the feasibility and relevance of the recommended essential package of proven cost-effective interventions.
