Teri Reynolds

Dr. Reynolds works in health system strengthening for emergency care in Tanzania. She is currently an Assistant Professor and Director of Global Health in the UCSF Department of Emergency Medicine and is the Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director at Muhimbili National Hospital, the main public hospital in Tanzania.

Prior to becoming a Burke Scholar, Dr. Reynolds completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Highland Hospital in Oakland. She combined a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound with the MS in Global Health Sciences at UCSF, which led her to Tanzania for fieldwork research on the feasibility and diagnostic impact of bedside ultrasound training. She has also served as a Technical Officer in Human Resources for Health at the World Health Organization.
