DCP3 Contributors Participate in Global Health Economics Colloquium

On Friday, February 12, three DCP3 editors, authors, and staff members presented at the 3rd annual Global Health Economics Colloquium (GHECon) at the University of California, San Francisco.  GHECon promotes the use of economic analyses to increase the impact of public health and clinical science to advance the health of people worldwide.  It brings together researchers, policymakers, and trainees to address the challenges and opportunities in the field of global health economics and the processes used to value health.

DCP3 Senior Health Economist Dr. Carol Levin moderated a panel discussion on equity, financial protection, and healthcare budgets.   Among the panelists was DCP3 health economist and author Dr. Stephane Verguet.

DCP3 Principal Investigator and Series Editor Dr. Dean Jamison moderated a session on future directions in valuing health.  DCP3 chapter authors Dr. Neelam Feachem and Jim Kahn served as panelists for this session. 

DCP3 HIV/AIDS, STIs, Tuberculosis, and Malaria volume editor Dr. Stefano Bertozzi moderated a panel discussion on efficiency metrics which included DCP3 chapter authors Dr. Elliot Marseille, Eran Bendavid, and Joseph Babigumira
