A group of DCP3 authors participated in the Global Oncology Symposium on March 31, 2015, hosted by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The symposium goals were to, "define priority areas in research and capacity building for global oncology; to identify gaps and opportunities in funding; and to create a venue for networking with trainees, young professionals, leaders in oncology and potential funders."
DCP3 cancer volume author Dr. Mary Gospodarowicz delivered a keynote address and several other DCP3 authors served as panelists at the symposium:
- Dr. Corey Casper - AIDS, STIs, TB and Malaria volume
- Dr. Geoff Garnett - AIDS, STIs, TB and Malaria volume
- Dr. Ted Trimble - Cancer volume
- Dr. Ben Anderson - Cancer volume
The symposium was held at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
