Shamelle Richards

Shamelle Richards is a Program Coordinator with the Disease Control Priorities Network. She is works closely with Dr. Dean Jamison, the Principal Investigator of DCPN. She provides program assistance and administrative support to the research team and offers administrative support to DCPN’s volume production and dissemination.

Prior to joining DCPN, Shamelle worked for the Afya Bora Consortium while completing a Bachelor's degree in Medical Anthroology and Global Health at the University of Washington. There, she provided administrative support to the management and M&E teams. Shamelle brings a social justice perspective to the field of global health, with particular interest in issues of access and equity for marginalized and stigmatized groups. She plans to pursue JD and MPH degrees with the goal of specializing in immigration law and becoming a health policy advocate for migrant populations.
