Prashant Yadav

University of Michigan William Davidson Institute

Dr. Prashant Yadav is director of healthcare research at the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan. He serves on the faculty at the Ross School of Business and the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. Dr. Yadav is a senior research fellow at the University of Michigan’s William Davidson Institute and director of the institute’s Health Care Research initiative. He was previously a professor of supply chain management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics.

Dr. Yadav is an advisor and consultant to the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, and the Government of Zambia. Recently, he worked on a project in Tanzania to study suppliers’ incentives for making artemisinin combination therapy (ACT) drugs available and affordable for the treatment of malaria. The Clinton Health Access Initiative is sponsoring this project with funding from the Gates Foundation.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Yadav served as a Senior Strategic Modeler at Health Products Research in New Jersey and as an Operations Consultant at KLG Systel and HOLTEC Consulting. He is a Chemical Engineer by training and has an MBA and PhD in Management Science.
